4-2-19 Boil Water Order Lifted for Addresses in North Killeen
Normal water usage may resume immediately.
A boil water notice issued March 31 for properties located at the following addresses has been lifted effective immediately:
• 1103 to 1115 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard
• 202 to 904 N. Fort Hood Street
• 811 to 1129 York Avenue
• 503 to 514 Rhode Island Avenue
• 504 to 511 Utah Avenue
• 500 to 615 Vermont Avenue
• 504 to 511 Virginia Street
• 201 to 519 Washington Street
• 904 to 920 Norman Circle
• 201to 817 N. Gilmer Street
• 411 to 1102 W. Green Street
• 411 to 718 W. Church Avenue
• 404 to 702 McArthur Drive
• 401 to 1015 Adams Avenue
• 413 to 822 W. Avenue D
• 201 to 906 Root Avenue
• 801 to 808 Carter Street
• 801 to 902 Cloud Street
• 821-1 to 821-3 Garner Street
Complications during scheduled maintenance to repair a water line caused a water outage. City crews completed water main repair and restored water service.
Water quality tests have been completed, and the water is safe to drink and use without boiling.
TCEQ Required Notice:
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality the City of Killeen public water system to issue a Boil Water Notice March 31, 2019 to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
The City of Killeen public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of April 2, 2019.
