Boil Water Order Lifted for Properties on Attas, Avenue E and 20th

Normal water usage may resume immediately.

A boil water notice issued August 26, 2020 is lifted effective immediately for the following properties:
• 1001 to 1108 Attas Avenue
• 1003 to 1110 E. Avenue E
• 101 N. 20th Street

Repairs to a water line break interrupted service and necessitated a boil water order.

Service has been restored, and water quality tests have been completed. The water is now safe to drink and use without boiling.

TCEQ Required Notice:

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality the City of Killeen public water system to issue a Boil Water Notice effective August 26, 2020 to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The City of Killeen public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of August 28, 2020 at 4 p.m.
