Curbside bulk trash pickup is suspended from May – September 2022 due to staffing shortages
KILLEEN, Texas (July 27, 2022) – The City of Killeen’s Public Works’ Solid Waste Division will place temporary roll-off containers throughout the City, to assist residents that would like to dispose of their additional waste and bulk items at no cost.
From Thursday, July 28, 2022 - Saturday, July 30, 2022, Solid Waste will have roll-off containers located throughout the City for disposal of bulk items and additional household waste only. This is in an effort to assist residents that do not have the ability to dispose of items at the Transfer Station.
Roll-off containers will be available no later than 8a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022, and removed on Saturday, July 30, 2022, by 5p.m.
The following locations will have roll-off containers available for use:
Killeen Special Events Center
3301 South W S Young Drive
Clear Creek Water Tower
6520 Clear Creek Road
Long Branch Park – Parking lot
1101 Branch Drive
Conder Park – Parking lot
810 Conder St.
The City of Killeen Transfer Station will remain open during normal business hours for disposal of large bulk items. Residents may still dispose of up to 300 pounds in a single trip for free once per month with proof of residency (i.e., utility bill).

As a reminder, the City of Killeen temporarily suspended curbside bulk trash pickup from May 30 through the end of September 2022, due to staffing shortages.
