Watermain leak repairs in progress, Family Aquatic Center discounted rates begin today
KILLEEN, Texas (Aug. 1, 2022) – The City of Killeen’s Recreation Service’s Department has closed the Junior Service League (JSL) Spray Pad at Long Branch Park again, citing more repairs needed.
Staff identified two, large mainline water leaks early this morning. Recreation Services is working closely with the Water Department to repair these lines.
The Spray Pad reopened to the community on Friday, July 29, after being closed for another water line break repair. The community will be made aware once the repairs and tests are complete to ensure the feature is functioning properly.
As a reminder, beginning today, the City of Killeen is offering access to the Family Aquatic Center at a discounted rate for the remainder of the 2022 pool season.
That means that fees will be $3 for adults and $2 for seniors and children. The Family Aquatic Center will be open through Labor Day weekend.
Hours of operation for the Aquatic Center are:
- Tuesdays - Fridays: 11a.m. - 5p.m.
- Saturdays: 10a.m. - 6:30p.m.
- Sundays: 1p.m. - 6:30p.m.
