Free, festive, family fun planned December 6.
Killeen is welcoming the holiday season with its annual Holiday Under the Stars event December 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Community Center Complex. The public is invited to enjoy the festivities.
Santa and his reindeer will leave the North Pole to join Mayor Jose Segarra to light the 50-foot silhouette holiday tree at 6 p.m. then stay for photos with good boys and girls.
The evening will feature free live entertainment, a giant snow globe and holiday activities and treats. A new attraction this year is a Killeen Youth Advisory Commission Baking Competition.
Food trucks and vendors will have items for purchase.

- December 7 - Jingle Bell Dash 5K at 8 a.m. at Killeen Community Center
- December 7 - Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 11 a.m. at Killeen Community Center
- December 14 - The 57th annual Christmas Parade at 4:30 p.m. in Downtown
- December 17 - H-E-B Feast of Sharing from 4 to 8 p.m. at Killeen Civic & Conference Center
