Closures for paving activities related to the Rosewood Drive and Heritage Oaks Hike and Bike Trail Project.
Rosewood Drive, from Sulphur Springs Road to Chaparral Road, will be closed February 3 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. to complete roadway paving.
Chaparral Road, from Yorkshire Drive to the city limit, will be reduced to one lane February 4 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for paving of entrance/exit lanes related to the Rosewood Drive and Heritage Oaks Hike and Bike Trail Project.
Traffic will be detoured around construction areas during work hours, and detours or alternate routes will be required. Motorists are asked to use caution and obey traffic control devices.
The Rosewood Drive and Heritage Oaks Hike and Bike Trail project remains on schedule for summer completion. When finished, Rosewood Drive will connect from its current end to Chaparral Road. Heritage Oaks Hike and Bike Trail will run about 3.5 miles along the southern end of Rosewood Drive and follow Pyrite Drive and Trimmier Creek. It is part of a regional trail system that connects to Purser Family Park in Harker Heights.
