Poodle skirts encouraged at a sock hop themed evening.
The annual Daddy Daughter Dance is scheduled Friday, February 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Killeen Civic and Conference Center. Tickets are limited and on sale through February 16.
The City of Killeen organizes this unique recreation event each year to provide a special opportunity for father-daughter bonding. Intended for daughters ages five to 13, guests are treated to an evening of dinner, dancing and memory-making.
This year’s theme is a 1950s sock hop. Attendees are encouraged to wear retro attire such as poodle skirts, leather jackets and saddle shoes.
Tickets are $50 per daddy-daughter couple and $20 per additional daughter and may be purchased at the Family Recreation Center or online at killeentexas.gov/parks.
