Can I request time off?

Yes, although youth hires are considered part time employees and do not accrue leave. Therefore, time off will not be paid. Youth hires are allotted no more than three (3) consecutive and five (5) total days of absences for the duration of the program to maximize their summer experience benefits. Please notify your worksite supervisor and youth manager of any extenuating circumstances regarding absences.
