After being assigned to Fort Hood in 2008, they now make Killeen their home. They have two sons who were educated in the Killeen Independent School District (Khalen-19, and Khristian-16). Khalen is currently a sophomore at Texas Lutheran University, and Khristian is a junior at Ellison High School. Both are exceptional students as well as elite athletes at their respective schools.

Councilman Wilkerson has remained engaged with multiple civic and social organizations such as Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., VFW and his church, the Liberty Christian Center, throughout his time in Killeen. He has also volunteered countless hours and energy to youth sports and scholastics in the area, culminating in serving as an educator and coach at Copperas Cove High School. In 2019, he returned to school to earn a second master’s degree in business from Texas A&M-Central Texas in 2020.

He is currently committed to doing whatever he can to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Killeen, as well as steering our city in a direction of prosperity and regional leadership in the future.
