Volunteers
Volunteer with us
Join the team and volunteer with the City of Killeen Recreation Services Department. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for ages 16 and up through our Animal Services Department, Parks & Recreation Department, Senior Centers and Recreation Department. Volunteers make a lasting impact on our community and contribute to the success of Recreation Services. We track all volunteering hours, which makes us a great place to get those service hours needed for clubs and schools. For court ordered community service hours, please contact each location directly for availability.
How do I become a volunteer? You must first fill out the Recreation Services Team Member Packet (PDF). Fill out appropriately and turn in to:
Parks & Recreation (Coaches) - 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd. – Coaches are needed year round for youth sports to include: basketball, soccer, baseball, t-ball, softball, kickball, volleyball and flag football.
Senior Centers - 1700 E. Stan Schlueter Loop, - Volunteers are needed to be entrance greeters, help decorate for special events, clean and serve food.
Recreation Department (Events) -1700 E. Stan Schlueter Loop – Volunteers are needed to help with setup, tear down, games, decorating and more.
Youth Advisory Commission -1700 E. Stan Schlueter Loop. - We offer volunteer opportunities suited for those 4th grade – 12th grade.
