The City of Killeen Library is proud to bring LEGO Day to the Killeen Special Events Center on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The free event is a chance for kids of all ages to show off their creativity with LEGOs of all shapes and sizes. The city will provide thousands of LEGOs and plenty of workspace for visitors to create whatever they can imagine.
The popular event, which drew over 1,500 visitors in 2023, is open to everyone of all skill levels, from those who have never used a LEGO set to expert builders. It gives all visitors a chance to make new friends, socialize, create, get new ideas, and have a brick-load of fun.
“Build something and make a new friend, or just connect with your kid over a shared love of the world’s most popular building toy,” said Deanna Frazee, Director of Library Services. “Last time, we had at least 1,500 attendees throughout the day, and many stayed and played for hours. It was amazing to see so many people staying for hours just creating and enjoying it.”
