KILLEEN, Texas (May 17, 2024) – The Spring Stream Cleanup event scheduled for Saturday, May 18 has been postponed due to ground conditions.
A new date and time has not been determined yet.
The Stormwater section of the City of Killeen’s Engineering division was holding the volunteer event to clean the ditch along Trimmier Road that runs along Lowe’s Boulevard.
City engineers examined the area after Thursday’s rainfall and determined the grounds would be too unstable to provide a safe working environment for volunteers.
Volunteers have collected hundreds of pounds of debris from the City’s previous cleanups and the City looks forward to rescheduling this one to help keep Killeen beautiful.
