– The City of Killeen is soliciting public input on a potential project to extend Fort Cavazos Regional Trail.

A community meeting will be held on Thursday, June 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Family Recreation Center (1700 E. Stan Schlueter Loop) at which residents can gather more information on the proposed project, ask questions and provide feedback.

The current trail extends begins near Watercrest Road and Cody Poe Road and extends to Robinett Road between Waterproof Drive and Edgefield Street.

The proposed project would extend the trail south to Clear Creek Road just north of Texas A&M-Central Texas University, and would add an ADA accessible trail and lighting at the southern end of the current trail.

Prior to the meeting, residents can fill out a short survey at http://tiny.cc/bu9l001.
