KILLEEN, Texas (Sept. 25, 2025) – The City of Killeen Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce that applications for floats are now open for the 62nd Annual Killeen Christmas Parade. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, at 6 p.m. in Historic Downtown Killeen. This year’s theme, "A Cinematic Christmas," invites participants to craft parade floats inspired by beloved holiday movies and memorable film scenes.

Join us in spreading joy and celebrating the magic of cinema. Whether drawing inspiration from timeless classics or contemporary favorites, we encourage you to let your creativity shine along the parade route.

“We invite all community groups, schools, businesses, and families to help us create a memorable parade that embodies the spirit of the season through film,” said Antonio Murphy, Executive Director of Parks and Recreation. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for our community to gather, enjoy the festivities, and showcase local talent.”

Float applications will be accepted in various categories, including floats with vehicles, decorated trucks or cars, walking or marching groups, performing groups, equestrian or carriage groups, and vehicle groups.

Parade float applications are now open and will be accepted until November 7. To ensure you secure your spot on the parade route, registration of your float is required. Please note that entry fees will increase from $25 to $50 starting October 1.
