Animals are in need of blankets, towels, linens, etc.
KILLEEN, Texas (Nov. 30, 2021) – The City of Killeen’s Animal Services division is requesting the community’s assistance with keeping their pets warm. The animals in their facility are in need of blankets, towels and linens. Other items that can be used are comforters, dog beds and fleece materials to ensure the dogs and cats are kept warm and dry during the colder months of the year.
“We’ve just announced this and there’s already been an outpouring of support from the community,” Jessica Dunagan, Animal Services Manager, said. “We appreciate the care that everyone is showing our furry friends in this time of need.”
Donations can be dropped off at the Killeen Animal Shelter, located at 3118 Commerce Drive. The hours are Monday – Saturday from 9a.m. - 4p.m. and Sundays from 11a.m. - 4p.m. Items will be collected throughout the winter months.
