A helicopter will drop 100,000 eggs at Killeen Athletic Complex.
Killeen’s annual community Easter egg hunting event is scheduled Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Killeen Athletic Complex. The event is free and open to children and families.
The City of Killeen has partnered with Destiny World Outreach Center to host The Great Hunt where a helicopter will drop 100,000 eggs on the athletic fields behind the Community Center for children to gather. The event will also feature the Easter Bunny and friends, musical entertainment and food trucks.
Egg hunts are divided by age group according to the following schedule:
10 a.m. All ages adaptive hunt Field 1
11 a.m. Ages 0 to 2 years Field 2
11:30 a.m. Ages 3 to 5 years Field 2
12 p.m. Ages 6 to 8 years Field 3
12:30 p.m. Ages 9 to 12 years Field 4
The event is free, and no registration is required. Hunters must bring their own baskets.
