Employees honored for 2,115 years of work.
The City of Killeen honored 180 employees at its Dedicated Service Awards today. Awards were given to each employee who had reached a five-year increment of service in 2017.
The honored employees have given a combined total of 2,115 years of service to the City of Killeen.
Longest tenure honors went to Lee Caufield for 40 years of service to Killeen Police Department. Three employees, Edward Gomez, Joe Smith and Michael Harrison, were honored for 35 years of service to ___. Douglas Lohman was honored for 30 years with Killeen Fire Department.
Nine employees celebrated reaching 25 years of service. Eleven received 20-year honors. Thirty-six employees reached 15 years with the City. Seventy-two were honored for 10 years, and 47 marked their five-year anniversaries.
Employees are honored each January for tenure.
