Mayor declares local state of disaster.
Mayor Jose Segarra has issued a local disaster declaration for a winter weather emergency following the Governor’s statewide declaration.
City of Killeen municipal offices will be closed Tuesday, February 16, due to inclement weather.
Emergency services will operate without interruption.
Road conditions will not allow safe collection of trash. Monday and Tuesday collections will not be made this week. Thursday and Friday collections will be on normal schedule, weather permitting.
Youth and adult sports are cancelled until further notice. Stonetree Golf Club is closed until further notice.
The City Council Workshop scheduled Tuesday, February 16, has been rescheduled to Thursday, February 18 immediately following the Special City Council Workshop at 5 p.m. The Special City Council Workshop scheduled Wednesday, February 17, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
The Youth Advisory Commission meeting scheduled February 16 has been cancelled.
An emergency warming station is open at Skyline Baptist Church, 906 Trimmier Road, for those seeking temporary relief from cold.
