Lane closures expected over next three weeks near I-14 and Rosewood Drive.

City News Posted on January 20, 2026

KILLEEN, Texas (Jan. 20, 2026) – Motorists traveling through the area of I-14 and Rosewood Drive should expect temporary lane closures as roadway improvements get underway.

A contractor for a nearby QuikTrip development will be working at the intersections of Rosewood Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, as well as Rosewood Drive at I-14. The work will include roadway improvements that require intermittent lane closures in the area.

Construction is anticipated to last approximately three weeks. Drivers are encouraged to use caution, expect minor delays, and consider alternate routes when possible.

Traffic control measures and signage will be in place to help guide motorists through the construction zones. The City of Killeen appreciates the public’s patience as these improvements are completed.
