KILLEEN, Texas (February 6, 2026) – The City of Killeen Engineer Department will be closing the eastbound lane of Chaparral Road between Trimmier Road and Taylor Renee Drive to through traffic starting Tuesday, Feb. 10 through Friday, March 6, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
The closure is for the installation of a new watermain.
The contractor will have a traffic control plan in place and guide traffic around the work area. Motorists should anticipate delays and are asked to use caution and obey traffic control devices.
